There are 2 main items that you must have for your
website.
1)
A Domain Name
Your domain name is the web address that visitors will use
to display your website i.e. www.YourDomainName.com. Your domain name must be registered with a Domain Name Registrar. Your domain name can be registered for one
year at a time or for several years in advance. The annual fee for domain
name registration varies depending on which Registrar holds the registration.
We can purchase domain(s) for you, or transfer your current
domain name to our registrar for management. Your company will be listed as the
Registrant (primary owner), while we are listed as the administrators - which
frees you from the administrative responsibilities of domain management. We
will annually renew your domain name and bill you for that amount each year.
We can also manage DNS which are the configurations that
allow your website to be accessible via the World Wide Web, and allow you to
have email accounts under your domain name. If we purchase domain(s) for you,
we will automatically have access to DNS management. If you have an existing
domain and DNS under management by another entity, they will need to make DNS
changes in order for your new website to become live.
2) Website Hosting
Your website is stored on a public web server where it is
accessible for the public to view.
There is a cost to store and offer your website to the public. This cost is referred to as your website
hosting fee, usually charged monthly.
The monthly hosting fee will vary depending on the size of your
website.
Due to the proprietary software which runs WebFrame, Web
Solutions will host your WebFrame website on our servers in our datacenter.
This allows us to make any software updates to WebFrame as well as any enhancements
to the server to give you and your customers an optimum web experience.
