How to Use the HTML Upload Method

In Microsoft Word:

1)      Using Word 2007, open Word Template (.dotx format) created for client by Web Solutions. When you open the template.dotx file it will automatically open a Document1.docx file because the template can not be edited in the dotx format.

2)      Edit the content in the Word Document to create email message for bulk emailer.  There will be styles in the style shortcut boxes in the top toolbar to use for styling the word doc.

3)      To edit hyperlinks in the Word Document, it is best to do a right click on the hyperlink and use the "Edit Hyperlink" box to keep the formatting the way you want.

4)      Save as Word Document (.docx format) for any future editing.

5)      Save as Web Page Filtered (.htm) for uploading to the bulk emailer.

In Bulk Emailer:

1)      After logging in, click on BulkEmail, then Message Management and choose "Upload HTML Message" from the menu options.

2)      Fill in the Name and Description and then browse to the .htm version of your email message. NOTE: You can ignore the optional Text Message option unless you want to use it, you would just browse to a text only version of your email message and upload it.

3)      Check the "Upload Images" checkbox (if your email message has images in it) and then click the Save button.

4)      If you checked the "Upload Images" checkbox, you will be prompted to upload your images after clicking the Save button in Step 3.  Your images will be found in a folder where you saved your .htm file.  The folder will be named the same as you named your .htm file with _files appended to the name.  Double click on the folder to access the images that you need to upload.  After browsing to each of your images, click the "Upload Images" button.

5)      Your message has been created and is ready to send.
